Me and my family treated ourselves to Tony Roma’s few days ago after moving into our new apartment. It was an unexpected plan and we were in the celebratory mood so collectively decided to stop here and eat lunch.
I think that Tony Roma’s is a great casual place to go with friends or family on a lazy Saturday afternoon. It is pocket friendly (only if you do not overdo your order), the staff is very welcoming and menu has a variety of food options. It is also one of my personal favorite ‘s among similar type of restaurants like Chili’s or TGI Fridays.
We were five people and knowing that the portion size is big here, we only ordered four dishes. Here is what we ate:
Who doesn’t like breaded fried shrimp served on a bed of fries (bed because there is no such thing as enough fries lol). We loved it! The dish is part of the main course section but you can definitely order it as a sharing appetizer also!
I feel like making tiny hearts to explain how much we loved the ribs! You can select the sauce on the ribs and we went will old school BBQ sauce and it turned out to be AAHHMAZING! The meat literally fell off the bone and the portion size was massive (not kidding, enough for two people to share VERY easily).
Super light and delicious! Added lots of garlic scampi butter on the fish and ate with grilled veggies! If you don’t overdo the butter usage, easily a healthy meal for someone who is diet conscious (just replace fries with corn).
Super fresh, lots of lime, mint and crushed ice with (I assume) a lot of cranberry syrup because we couldn’t find any actual cranberries in the mojito *oops*… But it tastes good and is quite refreshing so you can definitely give it a try!
You might be thinking where the fourth dish went because I’ve only spoken about three above – well unfortunately I forgot to take a photo (oops again). We ordered Chicken Tuscany pasta which was quite decent. Fettuccine sauteed with lots of garlic and mushroom, tossed with chicken, and tomato pesto sauce. Again guys, portion size is quite big so be prepared as and when you order!
There are options for vegetarian friends but lets be honest – a place that says Ribs, Seafood and Steak under their name, should be tried for just that!
