Restaurant Reviews

Nayaab Handi, Al Wasl Road

Guys, if you’re in Dubai, searching for a decent desi buffet that is not too heavy on your pocket then Nayaab Haandi is a must visit restaurant. Owned by the Sind Shabaaz Restaurant Group, this is their second branch (first one being in Sharjah I think)

It is situated on Al Wasl Road, next to Ghazal Mall, close to Iranian Hospital and has ample parking space outside. The restaurant does not have an à la carte menu and hence, you can only go for a lunch or dinner buffet (rates are mentioned below).

The staff is very welcoming, most of them are always smiling and will cater to all of your needs. I’ve tried both the lunch and dinner buffet and it is safe to say that dinner buffet was MUCH better. There is a clear difference of variety and honestly the food options are better as well. You have everything from a Chaat Station with Pani Puri to Haleem, Nihari and Chicken Biryani. Also, 95% of the food is non-veg so if you do not eat meat, you can stop reading this review now 🙂

Once you’ve taken your first round of the buffet and have settled well on your seat, the servers will come and put a massive size BBQ grill platter (unlimited) on your table. I personally loved the Grilled Fish and Chicken Seekh Kebabs (we ordered thrice I think!). They also serve Chicken Haandi along Naan bread (eat this quickly otherwise once cold, doesn’t taste good). In their buffet, I liked their Fried Fish and Chapli Kebabs (mutton) as well. If you’re a beef lover – you might get disappointed because the restaurant focuses mainly on chicken and mutton. The only negative feedback I have for this place is that they only refill food as per footfall and crowd presence. Some of the food was slightly cold (probably because as and when I went, there weren’t many people so they must have not realized).

Anyway! Below are the rates and you’ll definitely be surprised 🙂

Weekdays: Lunch: AED 48 per person  | Dinner: AED 63 per person

Weekend: Lunch: AED 58 per person on Friday only | Dinner: AED 72 per person  (Thursday & Friday)
