Coconut Mithai (Sweet)
This recipe makes about 10 pieces!
1 cup desiccated coconut
3 tablespoon milk powder (everyday)
90 grams sweetened condensed milk
Green food color
Desiccated coconut for garnish
Almonds and pistachios for garnish
Start by mixing desiccated coconut, milk powder and condensed milk in a bowl. Then, add less than a pinch of green color powder to the mixture. Mix well and form a dough. It is completely up to you to make small balls or cut in equal sizes to form whatever shape you want. Roll in desiccated coconut and sprinkle chopped pistachios and almonds on top!
This particular recipe is something that my mom uses to make coconut mithai (she is a huge coconut lover and loves anything coconut). If you want the mithai to be less sweet, add less condensed milk. Serve them individually or in a box – it would be a nice gift to give someone as well!
