About Bean There Bistro
It is a newly opened restaurant at the Millennium Airport Hotel in Garhoud. For me, it was honestly a hidden gem. All the earthy tones, wood usage and the massive living wall added such a nice charm to the restaurant. Ample amount of sunlight and no over the top interiors makes it pleasant to the eyes. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and operate from 8 am to 2 pm every day.
Moving on to the food now…the menu is not only short and to-the-point but everything is quite reasonably priced as well. I got the opportunity to try a little bit of everything, and needless to say that there were few things that really stood. In appetizers I got to try the Crab Cakes, Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls, Beet and Goat Cheese Salad as well as Bacon Wrapped Dates. Everything tasted really good but my favorite were the Bacon wrapped dates! I’m a fan of sweet with savory so I was honestly very surprised with this dish. It was a burst of flavors and you wouldn’t have ever though of eating dates with meat but it actually worked well for me.
My favorite main course is debatable because Bangers & Mash and Travelers Chicken were both so good! The Bean There Sandwich, which was Halloumi cheese on a Moutabel spread garnished with watercress and chili was such a pleasant vegetarian option on the menu! A thing I observed about the food here is that nothing was heavy. It all tasted light and extremely fresh as well. There was less oil being used and you could clearly see that in everything that was brought to the table.
I got to try the Red Velvet Cake, Apple Delight and the Chocolate Mousse Cup. I am not sure if I can pick a favorite because they were all drool-worthy. Red Velvet Cake is one of their popular desserts but something about the richness of the dark chocolate in the Chocolate Mousse and the Cinnamon sauteed apples in a jar makes it quite difficult for me to pick a favorite.
Here all the photos from my tasting session (warning: do not look if you’re hungry)! 😀
The restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area where they serve sheesha as well as drinks. Bean There Bistro is exactly the kind of place where you would want to spend your Friday afternoon with family and friends. I am sure this place will become a regular spot for tons of people especially during the winter season.
I am definitely heading back soon. You should give them a visit too 🙂
